Polish philology - undergraduate (full-time) studies
The Polish philology studies program includes knowledge of history and theory of literature as well as knowledge of language. There are numerous classes to choose from, devoted to film, theater, editing, contemporary literature, language communication and more. Students can acquire basic humanistic knowledge, broaden their horizons and develop the intellectual work skills necessary in many historical, social and artistic disciplines. They can participate in specialized classes, the completion of which is confirmed by an entry in the diploma.

There are 11 student research groups at the Faculty of Humanities.
Students can also develop their interests and passions as part of the activities of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw’s Choir and the Academic Theater.
Faculty students can also study at other universities in Poland (under the MOST program) and abroad (under the ERASMUS program), among others in Cambridge, Paris, Swiss Friborg, Genoa, Ostrava, Olomouc, Vilnius, and Budapest.

PROFESSIONAL PROSPECTS FOR GRADUATE OF POLISH PHILOLOGY
Studies in Polish philology provide extensive humanistic knowledge, teach the understanding and interpretation of various cultural texts. They equip the graduate with fluency in using correct and beautiful Polish and develop analytical and communication skills. Classes taught in Polish philology prepare for work in educational and cultural institutions (education, publishing houses, cultural institutions, archives), as well as in the media (magazine editors, massmedia). Graduates of philological studies find themselves in the work of an editor and proofreader, and often, after gaining additional qualifications, find employment in administration, marketing and broadly understood business.
Studies in Polish philology are a valuable complement to the education of students and graduates of other humanities studies, especially journalists, culture experts, historians, museumologists, philosophers and theologians.

The goal of the Postgraduate Contemporary Editing Study CSWU is to learn how to edit and revise texts, publish them in electronic form as e-books, on websites, administrative, state, governmental or private panels, in magazines, as well as prepare scientific papers and any documents.
Kurs "Polszczyzna w pigułce – na uczelni i wśród przyjaciół"
Intensywny kurs adaptacyjny dla początkujących, którego celem jest przygotowanie studentów podejmujących studia na polskich uczelniach w językach obcych do życia w nowym środowisku. Materiał obejmuje podstawowe wyrażenia i zwroty oraz informacje o kulturze polskiej. Zajęcia prowadzone są przez językoznawców, pracowników naukowo-dydaktycznych Instytutu Filologii Polskiej UG.

Since 2019/2020, recruitment for studies in the literary sciences discipline has taken place as a recruitment to the Doctoral School Of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (UCSW).
Kurs "Język polski i kultura polska"
Podstawowy kurs języka polskiego dla osób już studiujących (lub pracujących) w Polsce, którym znajomość języka jest potrzebna ze względów osobistych lub zawodowych. Pożądany poziom znajomości języka: podstawowe zwroty i wyrażenia. Plan kursu przewiduje 30 godzin zajęć o charakterze ogólnym, kształcących wszystkie umiejętności (rozumienie tekstu czytanego, rozumienie tekstu słuchanego, mówienie, pisanie), 30 godzin profilowanych zgodnie ze studiowanym przez słuchaczy kierunkiem oraz 15 godzin wykładu z zakresu kultury polskiej. Zajęcia prowadzone są przez językoznawców, pracowników naukowo- -dydaktycznych Instytutu Filologii Polskiej UG.
